Our testing team follows the same steps for every featured product. We order from the bbd-buy catalog, record the order date, and wait for the parcel to arrive at our Rotterdam desk. On arrival, we photograph the outer packaging, note the carrier, and check for dents, tape marks, and moisture.
Hands-on steps
- Unpack slowly and lay out every item, insert, cable, and manual.
- Weigh and measure the product and its packaging on our bench scale.
- Run a fit check with the intended user profile and note pressure points, grip, and balance.
- Time agent tasks with a stopwatch and repeat each task three times.
- Build a comparison table against two or three closest alternatives we have already tested.
- Repeat the fit check and timing after 14 days of regular use.
We score on the five-point scale after the repeat test. A score of 5 means excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor, and 1 very poor. Hands-on scores use the full 1 to 5 scale. We keep our raw notes, photos, and timing sheets filed by test date.
Records and comparison limits
The record identifies which tasks were timed, the three readings, fit conditions and use period. Listing claims remain separate from observed contents and condition; a catalog comparison does not establish that every listing is unchanged.
